Jesse Smith was born and raised in Stockton. He fought through a rough childhood in order to not become a statistic as a God-fearing husband, father, and a proud Black man. He fights for change and equity, standing up for those who are temporarily unable to stand up for themselves. Due to adversity, Jesse have become stronger and more willing to stand in the gap for those that need. He loves encouraging people and motivating those that find themselves down and out. He loves taking those on a destructive path off that path and setting them on one that gives them a future and opportunity to live.

Additional Context on Racial Justice Expertise. Expert is a strong word but I most definitely have taken the time to not only integrate racial equity into my place of work but I’ve taken the time to educate my coworkers on past and present topics and historical facts about my culture. I remain unapologetically Black.
