Overview
I have spent my entire life devoted to the law whether as a law enforcement officer college professor and as an attorney. As a member of the NYPD for 26 years I held the ranks of police officer detective sergeant lieutenant was one of the first African American women promoted to captain and deputy inspector I have worked in many different capacities. Including patrol investigations community engagement training internal investigations investigations law ,recruitment and intelligence and protective security.
I have served as a consultant/ trainer and trained officers nationally and internationally about racial profiling , studied diversity and policing In London as a Fulbright fellow and as an professor nod law and criminal justice for St Johns University, John Jay College and Berkeley College. I hold a bachelors degree
Summa cum laude )in Government and Public Administration from John Jay College and a JD from New York Law School.

I have always deeply believed that the foundation to developing trust and equity starts with honest acknowledgement of self. Self awareness of bias is crucial to moving toward racial equity. To that end I have served as a trainer in Racial Profiling and have trained departments around the country.
